Arrival guide
Getting to Casa Toro in Calpe Old Town.
Plan the practical bit before the holiday starts: airports, driving routes, parking backup, taxis, buses, luggage and first-day arrival rhythm.
Before you travel
Choose the arrival style that matches your stay.
Casa Toro works well for guests who want walkable Old Town evenings, so the question is not simply whether to hire a car. It is whether your arrival, luggage, supermarket plans, coves and day trips make a car worthwhile.
If you mainly want beach walks, restaurants, terrace time and Calpe Old Town, you can plan a lower-car stay. If you want flexible airport timing, inland villages, coves and bigger grocery runs, a car gives you more freedom.
- Simple arrival: taxi or transfer from the airport, then use Calpe on foot.
- Flexible arrival: hire car for airport timing, shopping and day trips.
- Low-car stay: combine walking, taxis and public transport where timings suit your dates.
AirportsAlicante or Valencia
Alicante is usually the most straightforward airport for Calpe. Valencia can also work, especially when flight times or fares are better.
DrivingArrive calmly in the Old Town
Historic streets can feel tighter than resort roads. Use navigation for the area, then follow final arrival guidance and avoid rushing the last few minutes.
Without a carTaxis, buses and walking
Calpe Old Town, restaurants, cafes, Arenal-Bol and the promenade are practical on foot for many guests once you have arrived.
