A curious Calpe resident

Did you know?

The Rock has
its own cats.

Small colonies of cats have made their home among the cliffs and crevices of the Penon de Ifach.

Hikers may spot them sunbathing on warm ledges, resting in quiet corners or moving confidently across the rugged terrain. Their unexpected presence has become one of the rock's most charming local stories.

Admire from a distance The rock is a protected and fragile habitat. Avoid feeding or approaching the cats, and follow current park guidance.
